Laguna Colorada

Laguna Colorada: what you need to know
Laguna Colorada owes its color to microalgae and sediments that deepen with the wind and the afternoon sun. It is home to three species of flamingo, including the rare James's flamingo, and one of the most striking sights of the three-day expedition.
It is part of the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve, along with Laguna Verde, the Árbol de Piedra, the Sol de Mañana geysers and the Polques hot springs.
