Uyuni Salt Flats

Uyuni Salt Flats: what you need to know
The Uyuni Salt Flats are why most of our travelers come to Bolivia at all. In the dry season the salt crust draws hexagons out to the horizon; in the rainy season a film of water turns the ground into the largest mirror on the planet.
We leave from Uyuni in 4x4s carrying six passengers at most. The classic route takes in the Train Cemetery, the village of Colchani, the Ojos del Salar springs, the old Salt Hotel, the Dakar monument and the Plaza de las Banderas, with time set aside for perspective photographs and for sunset.
The special tours add sunrise, sunset with light play and stars, or a night in a salt hotel in Colchani.
